Dental Health

Oral health means more than just an attractive smile. In no other phase of healthcare is prevention more integrated than in dentistry. Early detection is the key to avoiding extensive and costly dental treatment. Recent research has linked dental health as a contributing factor to heart disease, oral cancer, diabetes and pregnancy complications. Prevention begins with the control of plaque that causes tooth decay and gum disease. With regular dental visits we can identify problems at an early stage.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Enspire Dental provides extensive cosmetic treatment options that enable a person to alter the appearance of his or her smile, improving self-confidence and optimizing dental health.

Invisalign®
A series of clear aligners is used to straighten teeth without braces. The aligners are worn 24 hours each day, except while eating and brushing. Aligners are changed every 2 weeks, gradually moving teeth to their final position. Treatment time ranges from 6-18 months.

Porcelain Crowns and Veneers
Porcelain crowns and veneers are used to alter the appearance of misaligned, misshapen or discolored teeth. Porcelain crowns cover the entire surface of a tooth and are used when teeth are severely misaligned or compromised by large fillings or decay. Veneers are more conservative, covering only the front surfaces of teeth to correct spacing, minor misalignment or discoloration. Treatment time is approximately 3-4 weeks.

Bonding
Bonding refers to the placement of tooth-colored filling materials bonded directly to the surface of the tooth. Bonding can be used for limited cases of spacing, misalignment and discoloration. The material is less durable than porcelain and should be considered

Teeth Whitening/Bleaching
Tooth bleach is a peroxide-based gel used to remove stain from teeth resulting in a whiter, brighter smile. In-office treatments such as Zoom!® utilize high concentrations of peroxide to provide significant results in approximately an hour. This is commonly referred to as a “boost,” which is accompanied by 3-4 days of take-home whitening. Take-home bleaching systems utilize lower concentrations of peroxide-based gels placed in custom fitted trays. Worn daily for 2-4 hours, take-home whitening requires approximately 2 weeks to produce results equivalent to the in-office method. Both systems provide exceptional whitening results and can be easily maintained in years to come.

Tooth Recontouring
Sharp points, uneven edges and minor chips can detract from a smile. Tooth recontouring is a conservative treatment that involves removing a minimal amount of enamel to produce a more desirable shape.

Gum Recontouring
Uneven gum tissue can ruin the symmetry of an otherwise beautiful smile. Often laser recontouring can be used to trim the gum to the desired height. This procedure may be used alone or in conjunction with crowns or veneers. Typically, healing following laser treatment is quick with little discomfort.

Sleep Apnea

Many patients who experience mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea can be treated with Oral Appliances.    The team at Enspire will work with you in selecting and fitting a specially designed oral appliance to help treat sleep apnea.    A small plastic device, similar to a mouth guard, is fitted to keep the airway open during sleep and alleviate sleep problems.    The appliances are comfortable and easy to wear and often the first steps in solving sleep problems.  Come in for a consult to see if an Oral Appliance can help solve your sleep apnea.
