Bite Splints

Bite Splints

Bite splints (occlusal guards) come in many different designs and are commonly recommended to treat teeth grinding, clenching or TMJ discomfort. A bite splint can minimize wear on the teeth, cracked teeth and sore muscles.

Bonding

Bonding

Bonding is a single-appointment cosmetic dentistry procedure in which tooth-colored composite is bonded to the tooth enamel to improve the appearance. It can be used to correct chips, spaces, misalignment and discoloration.

Bridges

Bridges

Bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. They span the space where the teeth are missing. Bridges are cemented to the natural teeth or implants on either side of the empty space. These teeth serve as anchors for the bridge. A replacement tooth is attached to the crowns that cover the anchoring teeth. Porcelain or ceramic bridges can be matched to the color of your natural teeth to improve the appearance of the teeth.

CAD/CAM technology

CAD/CAM technology

Dentistry has gone high-tech! CAD/CAM technology involves computer-aided design and milling of dental crowns, bridges, implant components and other dental devices. Enspire has embraced this technology and uses it daily with digital impressions and same-day crowns.

Children’s Dentistry

Children’s Dentistry

Well-child dental care begins at age 1. We begin early to a build positive experience for your child and monitor his/her dental health and development. Preventive dental care for our young patients includes regular exams and cleanings, assessment of growth and development, fluoride treatments, sealants and oral hygiene instructions. Routine fillings and other treatment can be scheduled as needed.

Cleanings

Cleanings

Professional teeth cleaning is essential to overall health. Cleaning and exam twice a year can help detect cavities and gum disease and maintain a white, fresh smile. More frequent cleanings are recommended for some patients, including those with a history of periodontal disease.

Composite (White) Fillings

Composite (White) Fillings

A composite filling is a tooth colored material used to restore decayed teeth. By using composite fillings, instead of amalgam (silver fillings) our dentists can blend shades to create nearly an identical appearance to that of the actual tooth. Composites bond to the tooth to support the remaining tooth structure, which helps prevent breakage and insulate the tooth from excessive temperature changes.

Crowns

Crowns

A crown is a restoration that covers and protects the top portion of the tooth. High-strength ceramic is used to “cap” the tooth. A crown can restore damage from decay or cracks and be used in cosmetic dentistry to improve the appearance of the teeth.

Dentures

Dentures

Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. If you’ve lost all or some of your natural teeth, whether from gum disease, tooth decay or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. Dentures can help fill out the appearance of your face and profile. They can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so that your appearance does not change much.

Digital Impressions

Digital Impressions

An impression is our way of reproducing the contours of your mouth and teeth. Accuracy is critical for properly fitting crowns, bridges, retainers and more. Traditionally impressions were made with a tray of rubbery material placed in the mouth. Technology now allows us to use scanners to capture images of the teeth, resulting in a “digital model.” CAD/CAM technology and 3D printing are often used in conjunction with digital impressions.

Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays

Digital imaging offers the benefits of instant viewing and enhanced clarity. Images can be easily printed or sent electronically to other dentists or insurance companies when needed. Digital x-rays are environmentally friendly, eliminating the need for film and processing chemicals. And most importantly, it requires significantly less radiation to create an image on a digital sensor compared to film.

Enspire takes digital imaging a step further through the use of Logicon Software. Logicon functions like a “digital second opinion” in diagnosing cavities between the teeth.

Extractions

Extractions

Different situations can lead to the need for tooth removal: gum disease, cracks, cavities, trauma or simply part of an orthodontic plan to correct crowding. Wisdom teeth are often removed due to lack of space. Patients have the option of sedation during the procedure; this is discussed at a consultation appointment.

Implants

Implants

Dental implants are often the treatment of choice to replace one or more missing teeth. A dental exam with x-rays will be reviewed to determine if dental implants are appropriate and if adequate bone exists to support the implant. The titanium implant is placed and allowed to integrate with the bone before a permanent crown, bridge or denture is placed on it. The implant process usually takes a few months and requires proper planning. All phases of your implant procedure can be completed at Enspire Dental.

Invisalign®

Invisalign®

Invisalign is series of clear aligners (retainers) used to straighten teeth without traditional braces. The aligners are worn 24 hours each day, except while eating and brushing. Aligners are changed every 2 weeks, gradually moving teeth to their final position. Crowding, spacing, crooked teeth, and many bite issues can be corrected with Invisalign. Like all orthodontic treatment, use of retainers after treatment is recommended to maintain the position of the teeth. Treatment time ranges from 6-18months. Periodontal (Gum) Treatment

Periodontal (Gum) Treatment

Periodontal treatment includes a wide range of procedures involving the gum tissue and supporting structures of the teeth. Non-surgical and surgical options exist for treatment of gum disease and are tailored to each patient’s needs. Cosmetic periodontal treatment can reduce a “gummy smile” or cover exposed roots from gum recession. Our periodontal specialist will consult with you to determine the best plan to achieve your goals and maintain your dental health.

Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is necessary when the pulp inside the tooth (soft tissue containing the nerves) becomes inflamed or diseased. During root canal treatment, the damaged pulp is removed and the pulp chamber and root canal(s) of the tooth are then cleaned and sealed. Common causes of inflamed pulp in a tooth include deep cavities, large fillings cracks and trauma. Root canal treatment is a routine procedure that can save your tooth.

Same-Day Crowns

Same-Day Crowns

Technology in dentistry can benefit some patients by offering the convenience of same-day crowns. Traditionally, a crown is a 2-appointment procedure, requiring an impression to be sent to a dental laboratory for fabrication of a crown; the tooth is protected by a temporary crown for a couple of weeks in the interim. Digital impressions and CAD/CAM technology allow us to digitally design your crown and have it done in a matter of hours. Ask if a same-day crown can be scheduled for you.

Scaling and Root Planing

Scaling and Root Planing

Scaling and root planing is a therapeutic cleaning of the root surfaces to remove plaque and calculus (tartar) from deep periodontal pockets and to smooth the tooth root to remove bacterial toxins. Scaling and root planing may be the only procedure needed to treat gum disease, or it may be combined with other therapies, as determined on a case-by-case basis. After scaling and root planing, the majority of patients will require ongoing maintenance therapy in place of regular cleanings to sustain gum tissue health.

Sealants

Sealants

A sealant is a resin material that can be applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth—premolars and molars. This BPA-free resin bonds into the grooves (pits and fissures) in the chewing surfaces, acting as a barrier, protecting enamel from plaque and bacteria.

Sedation Dentistry

Sedation Dentistry

Are you anxious or fearful of having dental work done? We can help. Let us know if you think any level of sedation would make you more comfortable. Below are listed the different options we offer.

  • Nitrous Oxide helps one to feel more relaxed during a dental appointment. This is an inhaled gas that is safe for patients of all ages. No special preparation is needed before the appointment, and the effects wear off in time for you to drive home.
  • Oral sedation is a prescription sedative that is taken shortly before the dental appointment. Because one of its effects is drowsiness, you must come with an escort who will stay during your appointment and drive you home afterward.
  • IV sedation uses medication administered through an IV during the appointment. This "conscious" sedation does not put you to sleep, but induces a state of deep relaxation, and there will be little or no memory of the appointment. A driver must accompany you.

Six Month Smiles® (Braces)

Six Month Smiles® (Braces)

Six Month Smiles is a system of clear braces, worn for a short period of time to straighten the front teeth for cosmetic purposes in adults. Crowding, spacing and crooked teeth can be corrected. Appointments are 1 month apart, and treatment times range from 4-9 months; most cases finish in 6 months. An alternative to braces is Invisalign® clear aligners.

Sleep Appliances

Sleep Appliances

Sleep apnea and snoring are common problems faced by many people. While dentists do not diagnose these conditions, we can provide oral appliances to help manage them. Various styles of appliances, similar to mouthguards, effectively shift the lower jaw forward and support the jaw to prevent the airway from collapsing. Research shows that oral appliances can successfully prevent sleep apnea in some mild to moderate cases.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

At Enspire Dental we are excited to help our patients achieve brighter smiles! Professional teeth whitening (bleaching) can be done in the dental office or at home. Both procedures are safe and effective, although results are seen much quicker with the in-office whitening. Discoloration due to diet, smoking, age and natural tooth color can often be lightened significantly. In-office whitening involves placement of a high-concentration peroxide solution onto the teeth. Whitening is enhanced with the use of a high-intensity light. The procedure involves careful isolation of the gum tissue and lips to prevent contact with the peroxide, followed by multiple applications of the whitening gel. Patients are offered take-home trays to continue the whitening process as desired or for future touch-ups. Take-home whitening utilizes a lower concentration of peroxide gel that is placed in custom-made whitening trays. Trays are worn for short periods during the day or overnight, depending on the formulation of the gel. The fit of the trays is important for comfortable and effective use. Duration of the process varies, but two weeks of home whitening is commonly required for satisfactory results.

Veneers

Veneers

Veneers are used to alter the appearance of misaligned, misshapen or discolored teeth. Where porcelain crowns cover the entire surface of a tooth and are used when teeth are severely misaligned or compromised by large fillings or decay, Veneers are a more conservative option, covering only the front surfaces of teeth to correct spacing, minor misalignment or discoloration. Treatment time is approximately 3-4 weeks.
